ACTION REQUESTED TODAY: House Bill 334 monumental for public Charter Schools 

Did you know that support and oversight of NC’s public charter school students is currently relegated to the 5th rung of the State’s education infrastructure?

• HB334 is vital for improving public education in NC. The Charter School Advisory Board is currently the 5th rung in the State’s educational infrastructure, leaving them virtually powerless and often unable to be heard by the State Board of Education. HB334 will ensure the direct representation both to and from the State Board of Education that public charter schools and our students deserve (see chart at bottom). 
• Currently, HB334 is in a Conference Committee that will decide it’s fate. Please add your name below to send vital information about this bill to the members of that committee.
